Rabat was the venue for the draw for the matches of the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be hosted by the Moroccan city between February 1st and 11th.

The blancos will challenge the Americans of Seattle Sounders (concacaf champions), the Egyptians of Al-Alhy (vice-champions of Africa) or the New Zealanders of Auckland City (champions of Oceania).

The other formations in contention will be the Moroccans of Wydad Ac (champions of Africa), the Saudis of Al Hilal (champions of Asia) and the Brazilians of Flamengo (winners of the last edition of the Copa Libertadores). The mini-tournament in Morocco will be opened by the preliminary confrontation between Al-Ahly and Auckland City on February 1st: the second phase will enter the scene on the 4th: in fact, Seattle Sounders and the winner of the first match will take the field, so it will be up to Wydad- Al-Hilal. The semi-finals will be played on the 7th (Flamengo against the winner of Wydad-Al-Hilal) and the 8th (Real Madrid against the winner of Seattle Sounders or Al-Ahly/Auckland City).
