Third appointment for The Jazz Club Network , a review signed by CeDAC, Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia, chaired by Antonio Cabiddu, in collaboration with the cultural association Il Jazzino and the main jazz clubs on the island.

After yesterday's concert at the Vecchio Mulino in Sassari with the public of special occasions, tonight, Friday 17, at the Jazzino in Cagliari starting at 21.30, the Claudio Giambruno Quartet "Overseas" arrives in the capital , the new formation created and directed by the talented Sicilian saxophonist and composer.

Together with him a formidable rhythmic team composed by the ensemble that sees Andrea Rea on the piano, Dario Rosciglione on the double bass and Amedeo Ariano on the drums.

The name of Claudio Giambruno, wanted on the bill by the artistic director Massimo Palmas, stands out as one of the most interesting and engaging surprises for virtuosity, spontaneity and enormous poetic richness of the current music scene.

Throughout his career he has played and collaborated with the likes of Ron Carter, Christian McBride, Billy Cobham, Kurk Elling, Max Ionata, Enrico Pieranunzi, Roberta Gambarini, just to name a few, and, in just a few years, he has carved out a important space in the panorama of the new generations of Italian jazz, both as a leader and as a sideman.

Giambruno's intent is to enhance the magic of the Mediterranean fascinations and not by chance the musicians wanted for this project entitled "Overseas" - which represents the acme of an evolutionary process, of growth and maturity experienced firsthand by the saxophonist from Palermo - possess well-defined characteristics that fully satisfy the taste of the aesthetic sense of the leader.

The repertoire is centered on some original pieces together with traditional jazz standards designed specifically for this formation.
