Clashes between Cagliari fans and Fiorentina fans occurred last night near the Franchi stadium in Florence shortly before the start of the match.

According to local newspapers, some Sardinian supporters abandoned the predetermined route, violating the directives of the Police Headquarters. At the corner between Viale Sette Santi and Viale dei Mille they met the lily-haired fans, which resulted in scuffles with tear gas being thrown.

The Cagliari fans then allegedly pulled out bars and hit cars and scooters. The riot police intervened immediately and dispersed the group with lightening charges.

There was damage to some cars and outside a supermarket in Viale dei Mille, a Cagliari Digos policeman who follows the away fans was slightly injured.

Around thirty rossoblù fans were stopped and identified by the police, and Daspo could be issued for them.
