One dead and one seriously injured. Drama yesterday at the Mugello di Scarperia (Florence) racetrack while free practice for the amateur trophy was underway before the Italian motorcycling cup races.

A pilot lost his life: this is the 35-year-old Davide Longhi, from Romano di Lombardia (Bergamo), while another 39-year-old driver from Varese is on a prognosis reserved for the Careggi hospital, reported a polytrauma.

The accident, the dynamics of which is being defined, took place in the morning. It seems that the two were proceeding on a straight stretch when one would have slowed down to enter the pits after being hit by the other .

Rescue was immediate, but Longhi's conditions immediately appeared desperate and he was transferred by helicopter to Careggi, where he died a few hours later.
