A party that destroys instead of building", they write in the introduction in a letter addressed to the party secretariat and to all members. For the two now former Sardinians "the newly reconfirmed secretary places himself in a position clearly distant from the true needs, anxieties and aspirations of the Sardinian people, preferring instead to maintain a status quo which probably only aims to preserve his own personal interests ".

For Maieli and Chessa "a step backwards by the secretary and the president, at the last congress, would have been a welcome signal towards the Sardinians, thus recognizing the mistakes made, tackling the obvious problems in a courageous and determined way". «We would like to thank all those we had the privilege of meeting within the glorious Psd'Az - they write -. We hope, however, that our resignations and reflections can serve as a stimulus for a profound process of change and transformation within the party ."
