On the day in which the Pd crowns Elly Schlein the new secretary nationwide, rags fly in Sardinia.
The primaries on the island ended up in chaos due to the alleged polluting of the vote in Quartu by members of the centre-right. The tellers refused to proceed with the counting of the approximately 1,800 ballots. Today at 15 the regional commission will meet how to get out of the impasse.

It is a head to head between Giuseppe Meloni and Piero Comandini . Meloni got more votes but Comandini may have obtained more delegates for the regional assembly, just enough to be regional secretary.
In total Meloni took more preferences: 17,154 against 14,451 for Comandini.
Here is how the Provinces expressed themselves:
In Oristano Meloni obtained 732 votes against the 1204 of his opponent. In Gallura, Meloni wins hands down with 5980 preferences and Comandini stops at 444; in Nuoro, Meloni reaches 1725 and Comandini stops at 655 votes. Sassari: Meloni 4832 votes, Comandini holds with 4024 votes; in Sulcis-Iglesiente Comandini asserted himself with 1236 and Meloni remained with 878 votes. In Medio Campidano Comandini wins with 1077 votes, Meloni stops at 474. Finally Cagliari: Comandini gets 5811, Meloni 2533.
