«Who knows if they ever listen to Maggese at the Margherita Hotel in Golfo Aranci, Sardinia».

It is the post on Instagram by the Bolognese singer Cesare Cremonini who publishes the photo of a sheet of paper with the letterhead of the hotel in the heart of the Gallura town on which the singer wrote the first words of the famous song Maggese, published in the autumn of nineteen years ago.

"We are very happy and proud that his beautiful song is linked to our hotel... We will be equally happy if he comes back to visit us", is the comment on Cremonini's post from the Villa Margherita hotel.

"A hug to all my friends from Sardinia who, like every tour, leave to see me live. I hope I'll be given the chance to play in a stadium there too sooner or later ," adds Cremonini who comments in brackets: "Until phones became smartphones, songs were born on hotel sheets."
