Burglary in Caterina Balivo's house.
The thieves - taking advantage of the absence of the TV presenter, on holiday in Sardinia - entered during the night by forcing a window on the balcony of the apartment, located in the Parioli district of Rome.
Once inside the house, the criminals blocked the door from the inside and stole valuable bags, Rolexes and jewellery. The value of the loot is to be quantified.
Police officers from the Villa Glori police station and forensic colleagues intervened on site after the alarm was raised by Bailiff on Sunday evening as she returned from holiday.
The images from the video surveillance cameras are also being examined in an attempt to identify those responsible for the attack.
