" The workers of Portovesme srl deserve clarity. They must know what will happen to their future before any choice is made, especially in Sulcis where the hunger for work is very strong. I know how one lives in poverty : as a child I ate hard bread, we must never forget what we were."

Carlo Lolliri , born in 1942, led Portovesme srl for almost 50 years, until the end of 2019, but, as he says in his autobiographical book “Storia del figlio di un miner”, which he presented yesterday in Cagliari in the parish of San Benedetto, he never wore pensioner's slippers.

He has very clear ideas about what could be done to restart the industrial hub that he saw born in the early 70s. And he is ready to make his skills available for a relaunch plan .
