Fabio Pisacane's first Cagliari match sees him make his official debut in a red and blue jersey: against Virtus Entella, Riyad Idrissi makes his debut. In his selections for the Coppa Italia round of 32 match (kicking off at 8:45 PM at the Unipol Domus), the new coach has selected left-back Sadali, fresh from a season in Serie B with Modena. This isn't a new signing for Pisacane, having already had him in the 2023-24 Primavera squad, but now he has the chance to shine in a very different context. Nadir Zortea will start on the flank, with Gabriele Zappa on the bench.
Up front, the pairing of Zito Luvumbo and Roberto Piccoli, familiar from friendlies, will be the starting lineup. The 3-5-2 formation remains unchanged, with Alessandro Deiola winning the ballot with Nicola Pintus and being adjusted to the three central defenders.
