Cagliari, the Spanish conductor Jaume Santonja returns to the podium at the Lirico

After the acclaimed debut last summer at the Parco della Musica, Jaume Santonja returns to Cagliari. At the helm of the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, the young Spanish conductor is confronted with a classical repertoire.
It is the third and double appointment with the "Concert Season", scheduled for Friday 11 February at 8.30 pm and Saturday 12 at 7 pm.
THE PROGRAM - It starts with the famous Variations on a Theme by Haydn by Brahms, continues with Psalm 150 in C major for soprano, choir and orchestra by Anton Bruckner and then reaches the beloved Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, the Pastorale, among the stones milestones of great creativity, of the boundless production of the genius from Bonn. Soprano soloist in the piece by Bruckner is the very young Giulia Mazzola from Palermo, making her debut in Cagliari. The choir master is Giovanni Andreoli.
The Lirico di Cagliari led by Nicola Colabianchi is engaged in an intense awareness campaign to increase the public, especially the young one. Also on the occasion of this show, tickets are available at the promotional price of two euros for all schools in Sardinia, including conservatories and universities.
