Albanian goalkeeper Alen Sherri joins Cagliari : the goalkeeper moves from Egnatia on a permanent basis and has signed a contract with the rossoblù club until 30 June 2027. He will be Scuffet's second, Radunovic should go to Bari or Pisa .
The rossoblù club retraces his career. Born in Scutari, Albania, born in 1997, Sherri grew up in the Vllaznia youth team: he made his first team debut on 12 April 2015, at just 17 years old, against Tirana. In the summer of 2020 he moved to Laçi, still in the Albanian top league: in two seasons he played 53 matches between national competitions and qualifiers for European cups.
Following the transfer to Egnatia with which he won the 2022/23 national cup as a protagonist and, in the season just ended, the combined Albanian championship and cup. After playing with his country's Under-21 selection, he made his debut in goal for the senior national team on 9 November 2022.
" Imposing physique, 197 centimeters tall, Sherri is a good goalkeeper between the posts, courageous in the air, also skilled with his feet, a quality that he knows how to support in the setting phase ", explains the club in a note.
