Another 2-2 for Italy Under-21. After the one against France on Friday, comes the draw, again in a friendly, in La Spezia against Ukraine. And, like four days ago, Matteo Prati played 90': for the Cagliari midfielder, the series of two matches during the break with the Azzurrini ends with 180' , after - due to an injury on August 31st in Lecce - he has not yet managed to play a full match in the red and blue (260' in total between Serie A and Coppa Italia, in 6 appearances).
The lead for Italy Under-21 came in the 26th minute, with a cross from the right by Palestra for a great volley into the center of the area by Giovanni Fabbian. The 1-0 lasted just two minutes, immediately followed by the visitors' equalizer by Ilya Kvasnytsya who was good at taking advantage of an errant horizontal pass by Fabbian to recover the ball in the opponent's half, advance and shoot cross-court with his right foot from the edge.
Just before half-time, at 45', the 2-1: the home team's centre-forward, Francesco Pio Esposito, scored following a corner kicked by Miretti. In the second half, the Ukrainians scored again at 83': Igor Krasnopir scored with a two-step touch to the far post on a low cross from the right by Tsarenko (both substitutes).
In the stands, with Giancarlo Antognoni, also the technical commissioner of the senior national team Luciano Spalletti. Prati will return to Sardinia tomorrow evening and should rejoin Davide Nicola's group starting with Thursday's training .
