The initiative is the result of an agreement with Mediterranea Cagliari , a historic sports club in the Sardinian capital that for almost thirty years has represented a point of reference and excellence in this sport and that last season, with the women's team, obtained its first historic promotion to the top division .

With the creation of Cagliari Calcio a 5 Femminile, the Club is thus expanding its sporting offering: from the Academy to professionalism, passing through the national men's and women's youth teams and, from today, also for futsal athletes.

A central role in the birth of the initiative and its future development must be attributed to the partner Gruppo Grendi , a leading company in the maritime freight transport sector. Close to the rossoblù club for years, and already a partner of the women's eleven-a-side team, Grendi has decided to support, as main partner, the rossoblù girls in their first ever participation in the top national championship. The company's logo will consequently appear in a central position on the official Cagliari Calcio a 5 Femminile kits branded Eye Sport . The Sardinian technical partner, who is preparing to face the third year of collaboration with the rossoblù Club, has in fact decided to embrace the path and objectives of the Club not limiting itself to supplying sportswear for the new women's five-a-side football team, but taking on an active role in the development of the project.
