Cagliari, Alessandra Zedda: «Let's reopen the neighborhoods, stop the suburbs»
Four ideas for as many areas of the city: Is Mirrionis, San Michele, Sant'Avendrace, Sant'EliaThe key word is one: clock up the kilometres. Always "on the move", as one of the slogans of his electoral campaign states. To (virtually) shake hands, to meet citizens, collect requests, propose solutions. Markets, meetings in the neighbourhoods, meetings with professionals and associations. And this morning out and about in the peripheral neighbourhoods: because "never more suburbs", says Alessandra Zedda, center-right candidate for mayor of Cagliari, since the beginning of the electoral campaign. Objective? Close the gap between a Cagliari that grows and functions and a Cagliari that suffers and struggles.
Four ideas for as many areas of the city: Is Mirrionis, San Michele, Sant'Avendrace, Sant'Elia. «The suburbs will be at the center of urban regeneration interventions. This way entire neighborhoods can be redeveloped", explains the centre-right candidate. «The objective is to create welcoming public spaces, aimed at reducing degraded areas, through integrated security measures (lighting, cameras, etc.)». Among the priorities of its program are social housing projects: encouraging cooperation between public bodies, non-governmental organizations and the private sector will help develop innovative and sustainable solutions to address the problem of access to housing for young couples.
«The administration must get closer to the citizens: we will activate the local offices, in line with the service philosophy of the districts. Online platforms will also be implemented for online forums, which can be hosted on the Municipality's websites or on social media platforms, where citizens can discuss and engage with the municipal administration".
