"An extraordinary, fantastic year, which however began with the greatest sadness. I believe that rarely in the world has a sports figure been seen so tied to a territory and such unanimous grief". Bruno Perra thus begins the now traditional meeting with journalists at the headquarters of Coni Sardegna, in Viale Bonaria, in Cagliari. The president draws up a balance that starts "from the peak, the Olympics in which we have two gold medals and a silver that we did not hope for and that fill us with pride". The gaze is turned to the young: "They know they have examples to inspire them to dream and this is fundamental. In the same way, the many international events that Sardinia has hosted allow Sardinians, especially young people, to see the champions up close".
Perra recalled the fruits that arrived "in a difficult four-year period, which began during the pandemic, from the excellent relationship that was created with the institutions and federations ", mentioning "the resources made available by the regional department of Sport and Education for the facilities and for the Giovani Vispi project, which will help less well-off families not to give up on practicing sport".
