Sardinia responds to the call of the new edition of the BIT- Borsa Internazionale del Turismo , scheduled in Milan from 12 to 14 February .

Last year's numbers – with over 7 million arrivals on the island – bode well and the Region is preparing for the Lombard appointment with confidence and optimism . « We expect to consolidate the trend of 2022 - says the President Christian Solinas -. 2023 can be another year full of satisfactions . We are convinced that the immense landscape and environmental heritage, combined with the wealth of traditions, culture, archaeological and historical monuments, can confirm the island among the most loved and sought after tourist destinations ».

«The goal now – continues Solinas – is to materialize and consolidate a substantial lengthening of the tourist season . The investments that we have put in place to deal with the emergency, and the subsequent ones to prepare for a relaunch that has arrived, allow Sardinia to increasingly play a leading role and propose an offer suitable for an increasingly diversified and demanding demand. which goes beyond the classic appointment for sea lovers, and consecrates Sardinia as an ideal destination for every period of the year».

According to Tourism Councilor Gianni Chessa , who will participate in the inauguration of the BIT on 12 February , «the available exhibition spaces, of over 1,000 square meters , will allow our Island to showcase itself, not only for its rich environmental heritage and cultural but also for the numerous excellences that make it one of the most sought after and sought after tourist destinations. The goal is to promote on the national and international market, improving the large numbers of 2022, the wonders of our land in all its facets, from the food and wine sector to the archaeological one, to the riches of the inland areas, so that visitors can enjoy the multiple beauties that create uniqueness, not only in the summer months».

In the spaces dedicated to Sardinia, created in collaboration with Unioncamere and the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari , there will be 57 exhibitors (last year they were 46) and 114 operators , representing the various sectors: from accommodation to services, from religious tourism to consortia tourist. The stand, created with large white spaces decorated with stylized friezes taken from tradition, large photos, giant screens showing the classic tourist products of the island and two large columns covered with Mediterranean essences. An absolute preview of the presentation of 6 guides on outdoor tourism in Sardinia is also planned.
