Three intense days for the autumn section of the international literary festival Dall'altra parte del mare dedicated to the great contemporary literatures in Spanish . From 7 to 9 November Alghero, Sassari and Porto Torres will host the meetings open to students in the morning and to everyone in the evening. The event is conceived and curated by Maria Luisa Perazzona and Elia Cossu of Associazione Itinerandia , with the collaboration of Monica Bedana, translator and director of the School of the University of Salamanca in Italy.

Talking to the boys and girls, before meeting all the other readers in the evening, will be the Galician philologist and poet Bibiana Candia , the Sevillian writer Elisa Victoria and the journalist of the daily newspaper El Paìs Margaryta Yakovenko , coordinated by Monica Bedana. An activity made possible by the collaboration and hospitality of the Margherita International High School of Castelvì and the Convitto Nazionale Canopoleno of Sassari, the Europa Unita High School of Porto Torres and the Roth Institute of Alghero.

The themes of books and meetings concern identity, the meeting/clash between peoples, geographical and cultural borders.

Guests also included photographer Carlos Spottorno and journalist Guillermo Abril , leading figures of the magazine El País Semanal , singer and actress Saba Anglana , accompanied by Fabio Barovero , musician, composer and founding member of the historic folk-rock band Mau Mau.
