Basketball: Spissu's national team in Puerto Rico to obtain the Olympic pass

Soft start in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the Pre-Olympic area. On Tuesday at 11.30pm Italian time the national team faces Bahrain, a team that has never finished higher than tenth place in the Asian championships.
Three Sardinians in blue: Marco Spissu as playmaker of the starting quintet, Gigi Datome as head of delegation and Riccardo Fois in the technical staff directed by former Dinamo player Gianmarco Pozzecco.
The group is completed by the hosts Puerto Rico and it is precisely this match, scheduled for Friday at 2.30 am Italian time, which will be decisive for the lead in the group which allows us to face the second of the other group made up of Mexico, Ivory Coast and Lithuania. The winners of the two crossed semi-finals will face each other in the final which offers participation in the Paris Olympics scheduled from 27 July to 11 August.
