A Greek southpaw opposite Jamal Jones but better suited to integrate with Bendzius. The Sassari team has signed Vasilis Charalampopoulos, born in 1997, 204 cm tall and with the size and technique to play both as a small forward and as a power forward or in any case approaching the basket.

Charalampopoulos had an excellent season in Pesaro, where he finished with 10 points per game, 49% from three and almost 5 rebounds. His tactical intelligence and dangerousness both from the three-point line and in the low post increase Banco di Sardegna's offensive possibilities.

The Greek winger stood out from a very young age: at the age of 15 he was signed by Pana with whom he won 2 national titles, 3 Greek cups and participated in the Euroleague, also winning as MVP (17 points with 9 rebounds and over 5 assists on average) gold at the under 20 European Championships with the Hellenic national team. At 18, he scored 14 points in the Euroleague playoffs against CSKA Moscow.

He then moved on to Lavrio before returning to the top tier with Olympiakos. Two particular parentheses in Italy, the first in the playoffs with Venice where he only played 2 games then at Fortitudo Bologna.
