Sardinia receives an honor prize at the XII edition of Euroflora, the international flower and ornamental plants exhibition, which was inaugurated today at the Parks of Nervi (Genoa).

The award was given for the collective exhibition of over 350 square meters.

But the island also got a second prize for the best collection of nursery plants.

The project was curated by the five companies of the Collective Sardinia - leader of the "Sgaravatti group" of Rosi Sgaravatti - and unfolds in an area of 2000 square meters with 7 thousand plants arranged like a dry Mediterranean wood characterized by an ecosystem of plant species in able to adapt to high summer temperatures using low water consumption, so as to withstand long periods of drought.

A large garden that combines the excellence of Sardinian horticultural production and the hyper-realistic sculptures of the artist Giuseppe Carta di Banari.

The jury, made up of one hundred experts in the sector, awarded two gold medals for the most beautiful collection of palms and for the best cork, as well as five silvers for the palm-leafed Brahea armata, for the Cycas revoluta, for the Quercus ilex, for the best downy oak and for the composition of aromatic plants.

A close-knit team that of the companies of the Collective Sardinia: in addition to Sgaravatti, Il Tulipano Giallo by Rocchi Claudio, Alberghina Verde Ambiente, Hobby Flor by Michelangelo Galitzia and Raimondo Congiu.
