Australian Open, after Berrettini Sinner also reaches the second round
The South Tyrolean overtook the Japanese Taro Daniel in four sets
After Matteo Berrrettini also Jannik Sinner reaches the round of 16 of the Australian Open. This is the first time for the 20-year-old from Sesto Pusteria, number 10 in the world ranking and 11 in seeding.
The blue overtook the Japanese Taro Daniel, number 120 in the ranking, in 4 sets with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. After a moment of pain between the second and the beginning of the third set, Sinner took off, leaving no way out for his opponent who had eliminated three Italians during the qualifying round.
