Tourism, August is packed: over 250 thousand passengers in Elmas, +11% compared to 2023
July exceeded 640,000 travellers, record numbers expected for mid-August

There are still a couple of days to go until Ferragosto but the forecast for Elmas airport is already more than rosy.
According to Sogaer estimates, between 210,000 and 220,000 passengers (arrivals + departures) are expected for the period 9-18 August , with approximately 1,400 movements and 250,000 seats offered.
The trend of the first twelve days of August records over 250,000 passengers, with an 11% growth compared to the data recorded in the same period of 2023.
From January to July 2024 , the Cagliari airport was chosen by approximately 2,900,000 passengers for a year-on-year growth of 7% . The good performance is the result of the results obtained both on national routes (+6.2% passengers) and on international ones (+9.3%).
July exceeded the 640,000 passenger mark , exceeding the July 2023 figures by approximately 31,600 units (+5.1%) and setting a new traffic record.
«The Summer 2024 of Cagliari Airport, which began in April and is now in full swing – Sogaer recalls – is characterized by 81 routes, divided between 33 national and 48 international, 20 airlines and 68 destinations, for a total of 19 connected countries».
