These are crucial hours for the investigation into the attempted murder of the breeder and cheese merchant Peppino Fadda. The man (83 years old) was shot several times on Wednesday morning while traveling on Provincial Road 24 (between Padru and Alà) at the Su Tirialzu junction.

According to rumors , the victim, after the surgical operations performed in Sassari at the Santissima Annunziata hospital , would have provided the first indications to the investigators of the Arma. The conditions of the farmer have improved : Fadda was hit by the gunshots fired towards the windshield of his Renault Capture but the wounds, although very serious, did not damage vital organs. The Carabinieri of the Olbia territorial department are reportedly reviewing footage from video surveillance systems.

The person who fired the potentially fatal shots at Fadda was waiting for him at the Su Tirialzu intersection on the morning of January 1; it is not excluded that he followed him to be sure that the victim was passing on the Sp 24. The military of the Investigative Unit are verifying the extent of some episodes that in the past have closely involved the shepherd of Padru. However, it is not excluded that the motive for the attempted murder is linked to very recent events.
