The Sardegna Endurance Festival 2021 gets underway, which will continue until Sunday in the Horse Country Resort in Arborea.

Tomorrow morning the World Championships dedicated to young horses under the age of eight begin, an endurance race that will unfold along a 120-kilometer route between Arborea and Terralba, crossing beaches, ponds, pine forests and the fishing village of Marceddì.

The latest delegations, from countries of the Persian Gulf, very passionate about endurance, arrived on the island between yesterday and today. Also 12 horses from Toulouse in France landed with them in Elmas on a dedicated flight, where one of the stables of the Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is located.

About 50 horses and jockeys from 13 countries will participate in the equestrian weekend.

A truly international weekend at the Horse Country: Arabic, French, English, Russian, Spanish and of course Sardinian are spoken.

Before each competition, endurance is much more careful, horses must pass a series of veterinary visits. In fact, no animal can participate in the competition if the best conditions of health and well-being are not ensured.

On site there are also about twenty stands that will welcome artisan and food and wine producers from today until Sunday.

Visitors will be able to admire live the wood carving for the creation of the masks of the Boes and Merdules of Ottana, the processing of ceramics, cork, glass and coral. And then you will be able to follow the creation of the typical Arborea knives, the embroidery of the fabrics and the stuffing of the chairs.

On the food and wine side there will be the processing of semolina, the production of Malloreddus, the typical regional nougat and Carapigna. There will also be tastings of wines, bottarga and truffles.
