The journey to Barumini, filled with music, words, and stories, begins on Friday. It will be an evening of great theater and inspiration that will officially open the "Barumini Music & Heritage" festival, the summer program that will enliven the heart of Marmilla with art and culture.

On July 18th, starting at 9:00 PM, the stage at Su Nuraxi will welcome Alessio Boni, one of Italy's most acclaimed actors and winner of the Nastro d'Argento for Best Performer. Joining him on stage will be the refined piano duo "Miroirs," consisting of Antonello D'Onofrio and Claudio Soviero, for a recital that promises powerful emotions and a vibrant atmosphere.

The event is organized by the Barumini Sistema Cultura Foundation and the Association of Local Authorities for Cultural and Entertainment Activities , with the support of the Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia and the collaboration of the Fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. This project unites institutions, culture, and the local area, presenting them in a new light, balancing past and present, always in the spirit of art.

The show, staged on Friday, written and directed by Filippo Arriva, brings to the stage the correspondence between Giuseppe Verdi and Giuseppina Strepponi, a private correspondence that reveals not only the profound love story between the two but also the creative torments and passions that led to the birth of one of the world's most famous operas.

Through the words entrusted to Boni's intense voice and the music performed live by the two pianists, the audience will be led through an intimate and powerful tale, revealing emotions, secrets, and previously unseen sides of the great composer. A delicate and engaging tribute to music, art, and feelings, in an exceptional setting.

The artistic coordination of the event is entrusted to Maestro Mauro Meli.
