Akènta Exclusive Night: Sardinian wines conquer Rome

On Monday 8 May the fantastic location of La Lanterna, designed by Massimiliano Fuksas in the heart of Rome, hosted the Akènta Exclusive Night, an event organized by the Santa Maria La Palma winery in collaboration with Team's Agenzia Macoratti to talk about Akènta sparkling wine and the Akènta project Sub.
A special evening dedicated to the wines of Sardinia, with a particular focus on Akènta, the sparkling wine which is becoming in all respects "the bubble of Sardinia".
The guest of honor was Akènta Sub, a selection of Akènta that is aged underwater, giving life to an underwater sparkling wine with a unique flavor and character.
The history of Akènta Sub is extremely fascinating: every year a limited number of bottles of Akènta sparkling wine - produced from a selection of Vermentino di Sardegna DOC grapes - is left to age at a depth of about 40 metres.
Thanks to this immersion the Akènta becomes Sub and when it sees the light again and oxygenates itself in the glass, it tells us about its journey through the deep blue, in an intense taste from which perfumes and scents that recall the sea are released.
A great appreciation was also generated by Akènta Cuvée and by the wines of the Prestige line such as Ràfia, Redìt Cannonau Riserva and Recònta, Cagnulari Riserva which is gathering more and more compliments and acclaim.
During the event, music and shows alternated, from the DJ set by Dj Imbimbo to the performance by Gianfranco Butinar arriving at magic and mentalism shows: a cocktail of fun that was able to entertain and amuse the guests.
Akènta and Akènta Sub were excellently illustrated also thanks to the projection of exclusive images of the underwater cellar and an explanation of the project by the staff of the Santa Maria La Palma winery.
Akènta Sub, the prestigious underwater wine, has become the Official Wine of Vinitaly and the city this year: a real triumph for the Santa Maria La Palma winery, which produces over 5 million bottles every year.
The event saw the participation of over 500 people including eminent journalists from the wine sector, entrepreneurs and show business personalities.
Rome is ready to toast with Akènta, the Sardinian sparkling wine, and the wines of the Santa Maria La Palma winery.
The next big event signed by Akènta will be held in July in Alghero with Akènta Day 2023, the special event dedicated to the emergence of underwater sparkling wine.
