The publishing house Zanichelli has also included the Sardinian word fregula (or fregola) in the 2025 digital update of the Zingarelli Dictionary.

The term that indicates the semolina pasta in the shape of little balls, traditional in Sardinian cuisine, will from now on be, as the publisher underlines in a note, "within everyone's reach and will help to break down inter-regional cultural barriers and the most curious and passionate will be able to renew their own menus too".

Fregula joins other words from Sardinian culture that have long been present in the Zingarelli. Many of these come from the traditional cuisine of the Island, as in the case of burrida and carasau. Again, the term mallorèddus is already present in the famous dictionary, as are porceddu and seadas.

Other non-culinary terms in Limba already present in the Zingarelli Dictionary are launèddas and ràgas, which is the skirt typical of Sardinian men's costume.
