SAN VITO - New ballot this morning in the San Vito middle school at the disposal of the prefect and the Commission for a check on the vote of the first section: the mayor Marco Siddi yesterday closed with an advantage of six votes over the other candidate Alberto Cuccu. Late in the evening there was a request from the challenger list aimed at a recount for the verification, apparently, of disputed or irregular ballots. To dispel any doubts, this morning it was decided for the new ballot.

Confirmation in the late morning: Marco Siddi is the mayor of San Vito. He won the elections with 1098 votes against the 1088 of the challenger Alberto Cuccu.

CARBONIA - First a visit to the municipal employees, then many phone calls to thank them for their good wishes but also to start setting the agenda for the next few days. Pietro Morittu has been mayor for less than 24 hours but is already at work, exactly as he announced yesterday at the end of the long election night that crowned him mayor of Carbonia. "I considered it a duty to visit the Municipality because the municipal employees will be our first precious collaborators to organize the restart - he explained - and I will soon meet Paola Massidda and Daniela Marras, mayor and president of the outgoing Council for a handover that allows me to to have a complete picture of the current situation in the Town Hall so as not to lose anything that has been done to date by the various Offices ".

Then immediately to work for the near future: "As I have already anticipated, the issue of health is a priority. But there is also a working group to be set up as soon as possible to develop projects that make it possible to intercept all the resources made available for restart of our territory ". Contact with citizens will be fundamental: "The mayor's door will always be open - he promises - it is necessary to recreate a daily relationship with the community that too often, and the turnout is proof, has felt far from the institutions". Now the junta immediately: "In the next few days we will be working with all the allies, there is no time to waste and the new junta must be operational as soon as possible".
