The stamp in memory of Antonio Segni was issued today by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, on the 50th anniversary of his death, which took place in Rome on 1 December 1972.

Three hundred thousand fifteen copies printed on sheets of 45 , the value is that of tariff B, therefore 1.20 euros.

The stamp represents in rotogravure, on white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent paper, the sketch by the Philatelic Center of the Operational Management of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato SpA

It reproduces a portrait of Antonio Segni, fourth President of the Italian Republic born in Sassari on February 2, 1891 , flanked, on the bottom left, by the Italian flag. The stamp is completed by the legend “Antonio Segni”, the dates “1891 1972”, the wording “Italia” and the tariff indication “B”.

The cancellation on the first day of issue is available in the Rome Quirinale post office.
