"I was in the front row, and out of everyone, he chose me." A dream come true for Elena Di Martino, a 24-year-old from Cagliari, who, during Bad Bunny's first concert at the Milan Hippodrome (the second was later canceled due to a violent hailstorm), was chosen by the Puerto Rican star to sit in the now-famous "casita."
A highlight of all the live performances of the world's most famous rapper, immortalized in viral videos on social media, and one that will remain an indelible memory for the young Sardinian, a fan of Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio since adolescence.
"I had a poster that seemed to have caught his attention, and I thought maybe he'd choose me, but when I found myself in front of him, it seemed impossible, a situation so crazy I could hardly believe it." Then came the happiness and the long hug: "It lasted longer than I expected, a spontaneous and affectionate gesture."
Elena now lives in Paris, works in marketing, speaks four languages, and recently completed a stint in South America. Yet her connection to her homeland remains strong.
"Since I left, I've never been so proud of where I come from." And nostalgia is not lacking: "I know I'll always return home, maybe even live there again. As Bad Bunny says, 'nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana'. No one knows what will happen tomorrow."
