Don Enrico Muscas returns to Seuni as a priest: today marks his first Mass in his community.

A religious and community event involving the entire Trexenta region. The first solemn Mass of Don Enrico Muscas, the young priest originally from the small hamlet of Selegas, will be held today, Friday, September 18, at 6:30 pm in the parish church of Santa Vittoria Vergine e Martire in Seuni, a hamlet of Selegas.

The celebration is eagerly awaited by the faithful of Seuni and Selegas and comes just days after the young priest's ordination, which took place on Saturday, September 12, in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Santa Cecilia in Cagliari. On that occasion, Don Enrico Muscas received the sacrament of Holy Orders from the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cagliari, Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi, along with Don Leonardo Piras. It was a solemn and well-attended celebration, attended by family, friends, priests, seminarians, and numerous faithful from the various communities who accompanied the two young men on their journey. For Seuni and Selegas, it was a day of celebration: a large representation of the faithful from the small hamlet arrived, along with many residents of Selegas and Mayor Alessio Piras.

Don Enrico's deep bond with his home community is evident, as he lived an important part of his faith journey in the parish of Santa Vittoria . Today at 6:30 pm, Don Enrico will return to the church where he grew in faith to preside over Holy Mass before his community for the first time. It's a moment of profound symbolic and emotional significance: the young man who began to question his vocation in that small community returns as a priest, together with the people who accompanied him on his journey.

After his first Mass in his hometown, a new phase of his priestly ministry will begin for Don Enrico. The young priest has been assigned to the parish of San Nicola di Bari in Muravera , where he will serve as assistant pastor alongside Father Ignazio Pili. This is a new pastoral responsibility that Don Enrico has already begun to embrace. For a few days now, he has also been immersed in the reality of Muravera through his role as a religion teacher at the Dante Alighieri Comprehensive Institute. This experience will allow him to interact daily with children and young people, combining pastoral care with educational work.
