Actress Luisa Mattioli, third wife of former James Bond, Roger Moore, died in Switzerland at the age of 85.

The news was reported by the British press citing "family friends", according to whom Mattioli "had been ill for some time". Confirmation also came from his son Geoffrey Moore.

Luisa Mattioli, born in Veneto in San Stino di Livenza, met Moore in the early 1960s, interviewing him for a television broadcast. The two had previously worked together in the 1961 film "The Rape of the Sabine Women".

Then Roger Moore, who died in May 2017, was linked in second marriage to vocalist Dorothy Squires, who left for Luisa Mattioli. The couple married in 1969, when Squires granted the actor a divorce.

The marriage between the actress and the ex 007 lasted 24 years and from the relationship between the two three children were born: the current actress Deborah Moore, born on October 27, 1963, Geoffrey Moore, born on July 28, 1966 and he too became an actor, and Christian Moore, a professional producer.

Roger Moore and Luisa Mattioli then divorced in 1993.
