A red carpet that tells stories of courage , resilience and beauty. At San Giovanni di Dio in Cagliari, the third edition of Vestiamoci di Vita turned into an explosion of strength and colors, an event that celebrates life even in its most difficult challenges. Patients of the Palliative Care and Pain Therapy Center, healthcare workers and children of the Speech Therapy of San Giovanni di Dio marched side by side, uniting their journey of fragility and rebirth.

The patients, wrapped in the elegant creations of the Sardinian stylist Viola Palmieri, transformed the catwalk into a place of testimony and hope, telling their story of living with the disease and the power of treatment. At their side, ten young patients, excited and smiling, walked hand in hand with their favorite superheroes, thanks to the participation of the Super Animators of Cagliari.

An event that combines art and care
"With this event - explains Dr. Maria Cristina Deidda , oncologist and palliative care specialist at San Giovanni di Dio - we want to talk about the importance of building a network around fragile people. A network that involves general practitioners, the territory, hospitals and hospices, capable of taking care not only of adults, but also of children".

The central element of this edition was art therapy , a discipline that finds an essential tool in palliative care. Through the beauty of clothes, makeup and attention to their bodies, women in treatment rediscover their femininity and strengthen their bond with themselves. Similarly, young patients find in playing with superheroes an opportunity to humanize care and face the disease with a smile.
