A thirty-two-year-old man from Selargius, two men from Quartu, aged 36 and 40, and a thirty-six-year-old man from Guamaggiore , were arrested by the Carabinieri in Cagliari yesterday evening after a chase through the streets of Sant'Avendrace. The charges: possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It all started with a routine patrol in the neighborhood. The Carabinieri noticed a car making a suspicious maneuver to avoid the officer's vehicle. Despite the officer's order to stop the suspect, the driver decided to accelerate in an attempt to escape. And the chase began. The vehicle was intercepted and stopped a few streets away.

While escaping the police, the passengers attempted to throw two packages out of the window, hoping their actions would go unnoticed. However, this proved to be unsuccessful: when the situation calmed down , officers recovered the items and discovered they contained cocaine. A subsequent search, which included both the occupants and the interior of the vehicle, yielded two additional packages. The total seizure amounted to 28 grams of cocaine.
