“We gave him everything: love, attention, kisses, caresses. But since that day I keep asking myself the same question: why? Why my son? Why my family? Why didn't we notice anything? Because?". These are words that open a gash on an abyss of pain those entrusted to social media by the father of Achille, the fourteen-year-old who in recent days was found dead in the bedroom of his home in Olbia .
A suicide that shook the Gallura city. And upset a family. The Prosecutor of Tempio investigates to try to understand what were the causes that pushed a very young scientific high school student to the extreme.
"We were suddenly surrounded by a warmth that did not leave us indifferent, despite the pain had the upper hand over everything", writes the parent, "friends, acquaintances, people whose existence we did not even know all dedicated to our son their time, with their thoughts, their poetry, their art”.
For some, the tragedy was also a source of artistic inspiration: “Two splendid boys gave him a spectacular graffiti, a painter a drawing, a poet made him immortal in his poems. These artists confided in me that it was our son who inspired their hearts and moved the tools to create the works”.
The father does not give peace: " I will never stop asking myself the many questions that torment me, but I am convinced that these poems, these graffiti, these drawings will answer you, together with the special thoughts that many keep in their really intimate for our son.”
I don't know how much your gesture could have enlightened our hearts, the man says again, turning ideally to his son, " but I am convinced that the night, from now on, will be less dark because, perhaps, Achilles sacrificed himself to allow all this: to bring back the love, the hope and the joy of living in all of us”.
