He pretended to be a pranotherapist and, promising miraculous healings, he sexually abused some underage girls who were friends of his partner's daughter.
Luciano Scibilia, 74, has been tracked down to the Dominican Republic and is now on his way to Rome, where he will be immediately arrested under an execution order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Rome Court of Appeal.
For him a sentence of 5 years and 2 months of imprisonment for the crime of sexual violence against minors. He was the only Italian fugitive on the Europol list of the 19 most sought after sex offenders internationally.
Scibilia - the police informs - was arrested last Friday at the end of an investigation carried out by the International Police Cooperation Service (SCIP) together with the men of the Rome Police Headquarters - Tuscolano Commissioner, delegated by the Rome Public Prosecutor and with the coordination Operational of the Safety Expert in Santo Domingo.
Scibilia had settled in Samanà, a town 200 km north of the capital, where he had lived for many years with a local woman and her four children, three girls and a boy. Despite being wanted, he had remained active on Facebook and regularly received his pension through a woman who collected it in Rome in his name and sent him the money.
