Angela Merkel got vaccinated in Berlin with AstraZeneca.

"I am happy to have received the first dose of AstraZeneca. I thank everyone who is involved in the vaccination campaign," said the German Chancellor.
"The vaccine is the key to overcoming the pandemic," he concluded.
Meanwhile, in Germany there is a boom in cases of Covid-19, with 29 thousand daily infections.
"The numbers are too high, and still rising. In intensive care they are increasing daily," German Health Minister Jens Spahn said yesterday at a press conference in Berlin.
"We can't wait until next week when the emergency brake law is passed. Time is running out and we can't wait. We need new restrictive measures," he added.
