A man was stopped at Alghero airport with 990 non-authentic CE marked surgical masks.
The devices also lacked a certificate of conformity pursuant to decree 46/97.
The man was blocked by the officials of the Customs and Monopoly Agency of Sassari on duty at the Riviera del Corallo airport, assisted by the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza.
In his luggage he hid the counterfeit branded devices, which were seized.
The Bengali citizen, coming from Bangladesh via Fiumicino, was denounced by the Public Prosecutor of Sassari.
